Purpose and tools of communication

Why do people communicate and which tools do they use to communicate?

People communicate to express their thoughts, feelings, ideas; opinions also to relate to one another and to fulfilled their social needs. From a very basic family conversation to the most complex scientific presentation, communication is the medium that helps us convey, receive and make sense of our world, it is how knowledge is gathered and disseminated, information propagated and culture recorded and shared, in short communication is the thread of life.

Numerous tools are used to communicate, from the most intimate and personal tool such as spoken and written words to the mass mediated forms such as television, radio and the Internet.

Communication is the link to our world, it is as vital as fire, air, water and other essential life sustaining elements, as social beings we can not function nor survive without it.

creating a dazzling puzzle

I'm currently looking at ways I can combine many pieces of the new media puzzle into a coherent and beautiful ensemble. My first choice is the almighty social networking component, the second is the incredible interactivity of blogging and the third is the sharp focus and cross functionality of twitter. Its seems like a blue print for a weapon of mass construction (market development).
However I'm still struggling to connect the dots and plotting out the framework to pull it all together flawlessly.
Any one out  there have a suggestion or know of any resource that might help feel free to share it.

New media and Marketing

I have been pondering about what to do for the final presentation, as a group project I wanted to create something that will encompass every members interest. I also wanted to utilized the class as mentioned before to learn skills that I can immediately apply to promote my business therein lies my conflict: how can we devise a project that satisfy everyone interest personally and collectively?
One member quickly made a proposition, upon asking for clarification the proposition was rescinded and the member defected. In all fairness, the member have asked me for my  own ideas and waited for the next class before making the move. However, I have not communicated my ideas or intentions fast enough because I was still trying to come up with something that will meet or satisfy the question asked earlier.
In the end another member suggested that we use the project to market my company, I happily agreed, however I'm still torn because I want to ensure everyone gets what they are looking for in participating in the project.
The objective is to identify and utilize new media as marketing tools to promote a business, in our case a Limousine business: what type of new media is more suitable and how can we deploy them will be investigated.
For this project purpose, the creation and deployment of a web site is being considered.

who am I?

I'm afraid that I can't answer  that question, because I'm still on a quest, on a journey of discovery, I 'll be happy to share that info with you as soon as I grasp it.
Any how, my major is Television and Radio with a minor in Marketing. I have always been fascinated with the power and influence of media and appreciate story telling as an art  form.
In today's society both presence are pervasive, so I would like to tell some: your story, my story, our stories.
So far, my preferred format is documentary but I'm not ruling out anything. The bottom line is our stories must be told and however it is best conveyed is of the essence.
Presently, I own and operate Urban Ride: our signature service is" mobility on demand" taking our customers from point a to b or z in style covering their itineraries in the city smoothly while they handle their business(whatever that might be).
In case you are still baffle by all that fanciness, the business is transportation, some might add luxury to it but at the end of the day it is what it is however you phrase it.
By the end of the semester, I hope to understand and know what's new about the new media and how I can unleash these weapons to mind my business.
